If you are looking for something in particular, such as an individual title or available books by an author you like, start on the library.unca.edu homepage with our Books & Media search. You can search an author's name or a book title to see what our library holds. Do make sure of your spelling, as this can mess up the search. Current UNCA students, staff, faculty, and OLLI members can also search and get physical books at ASU and WCU via ABC Express. Simply select 'WNCLN (ASU, WCU, & UNCA)' from the search options to include their collections in your search, then click on 'Request' to place a request. *Note: ebooks at ASU & WCU are not available due to subscriber agreements.

If you are looking for some good ideas of what to read next, we recommend browsing in our New Books area, just beside the Circulation Desk, or our Popular Reading (Pop Read) book and graphic novel section, located against the West wall of our Main Level. You also have access to the extensive book review and recommendation (includes a really good read-a-like) system NoveList Plus through our library (Available here in our list of 'N' databases).

If you would simply like to browse more extensively in our physical library, you should pop up into our PR (English) and PS (American) sections on the Upper Level for English language literature books. Books originally published in other languages are found in other areas of P. You might find this browsible interface of our P sections helpful in exploring them.

If you are looking for comic books and graphic novels, the sections 'PN6700 - PN6790: Comic books, strips, etc.' and 'NC1300 - NC1766: Pictorial humor, caricature, etc.' are good places to browse. Both are again on our Upper Level. You can also search 'Graphic Novel*' or 'Comic Book*' in our Books & Media search.
